In case of a health or safety emergency involving a PCC student abroad, please contact the Education Abroad Office during regular business hours [(971) 722-7117].

Outside of regular business hours please contact the 24/7 emergency number for the program:

Costa Rica Program (CIEE Emergency Contact)

You can call 1-800-40-STUDY (1-800-407-8839) or 207-553-4000. If you reach a recording during normal business hours, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern Time, press 1 to reach a representative. After 8 p.m. ET, follow the prompts for the CIEE emergency answering service.

Australia, Cuba, & Ireland Programs (IFSA Emergency Contact)

Family members should contact the IFSA office at 1-800-858-0229 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday Eastern Time. After hours and on weekends, you can contact the Butler University Police Department at 317-940-9999. The police will alert the IFSA staff member on duty.

Bolivia Program (SIT Emergency Contact)

You can call 1-888-272-7881 or 802-258-3212. Calls coming in after-hours or on the weekend will be received first by an answering service, then forwarded to an appropriate SIT Study Abroad staff member.

Spain Program (AIFS Emergency Contact)

If a crisis arises and a family needs to contact a student, they should call AIFS at 1-800-727-2437. During non-business hours, they will be connected to the AIFS Emergency Answering Service.
