Open Educational Resources (OERs) and Accessibility

Posted by | Start the discussion

On Tuesday, March 11th there will be a series of webinars on Open Educational Resources (OERs) and accessibility. OERs are usually free resources to use and adapt for your own use. Make sure to click on the webinar that interests  you, so you can get the Pacific Standard Time. The times advertised are not for Oregon.

For all the trouble we have finding accessible publisher content these days, and the rising cost to students using publisher content, I recommend considering OERs as an option if you aren’t already.

PCC offers this limited open forum as an extension of the respectful, well-reasoned discourse we expect in our classroom discussions. As such, we welcome all viewpoints, but monitor comments to be sure they stick to the topic and contribute to the conversation. We will remove them if they contain or link to abusive material, personal attacks, profanity, off-topic items, or spam. This is the same behavior we require in our hallways and classrooms. Our online spaces are no different.
