We may provide links on this Website to a variety of our partner’s websites and third-party social media websites (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and others) as a service to you, and in order to provide you additional information and content related to the CLEAR Clinic. We have no affiliation with any of these third-party websites. We cannot control, and are not responsible for the information collection, use, and disclosure practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review and understand their privacy practices and policies, if any, before providing any personally-identifying information to them. We are not responsible for the content, information, policies, or practices of any other website linked to on this Website.
We will retain your information for as long as needed to provide you services, or otherwise as is reasonable and customary under the circumstances. We may need to retain certain information for record keeping, and there may be residual information that will remain within our databases and other records, which will not be removed from such locations. Otherwise, we will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We have a data retention and destruction plan that dictates the policies and procedures related to deletion and/or destruction of all information/data, and complies with Oregon law.
Note to Parents/Minors
This Website does not intentionally or knowingly collect, use, or disclose personally identifiable information about visitors to our Website who are less than 13 years of age. If a person under the age of 13 submits information to us through any part of the Website and the CLEAR Clinic becomes aware that the user submitting the information is under the age of 13, the information provided will be deleted as soon as it is discovered and not used for any purpose. If you are the parent or guardian of a child under 13 years of age and believe the child has disclosed personally-identifiable information to us, please contact us as soon as possible.
PCC Board Policy
The PCC district shall follow all applicable state and federal laws, rules and regulations that apply to student records. All personally-identifiable information contained in the college records shall be kept confidential and not released except upon prior written consent of the subject student or upon the lawful subpoena or other order of a court of competent jurisdiction. Student information may be shared among college faculty and staff on an official “need to know” basis. (Policy B 407)
Compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) (20 U.S.C. § 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99) is a Federal law that protects the privacy of student education records. The law applies to all schools that receive funds under an applicable program of the U.S. Department of Education. As a part of Portland Community College, the CLEAR Clinic will protect all educational records gathered throughout all CLEAR Clinic processes.
