Center for Careers in Education

Coordinator: Lisa George | 971-722-5970

The Center for Careers in Education at Cascade Campus provides resources and advising for students wishing to pursue a career path in the field of education (e.g., teacher or paraeducator). Center staff members assist students in identifying programs and pathways at PCC and/or 4-year colleges to meet their needs. The Center hosts events centering on education-related issues and information sessions on the teacher licensure process in general and on particular university teacher education programs. Education Department faculty members also have their offices in the Center so that students who visit will have easy access to information about the Paraeducator and Library Assistant programs at PCC.

In addition, the Center does outreach to K-12 school districts in the area and works in conjunction with the Teaching Learning Centers, the Office of Professional and Organizational Development, and the Learning Assessment Council to organize and conduct professional development classes and other events for PCC faculty.
