Course Description
This class will introduce community college instructors to learning and processing disabilities and their impact on students. It will explore instructional strategies as well as resources available to promote accessibility and instructor approachability.
Intended Outcomes for the course
After taking this course students will be able to:
• Utilize knowledge of learning differences to meet student needs.
• Apply principles of universal design to maximize opportunities for students.
• Adapt presentations, classroom activities, assignments, and assessments to increase accessibility for students.
