Course Description
The AHA PEARS course focuses on pediatric assessment and recognition skills so that the providers can more rapidly and accurately enlist the aid of more advanced practitioners.
Intended Outcomes for the course
Participants who successful complete this course will be able to:
1.Perform assessment and decision making skills in child and infant emergency situations requiring CPR/AED and/or interventions beyond First Aid.
2. Recognize the indication for and apply appropriate and effective interventions that follow current AHA PEARS guidelines, including activation of the appropriate emergency response team.
