I have been a fire science instructor at PCC since 1988 as a part time instructor and as of Winter term 2008  and now a full time instructor.   I am also the faculty advisor for the Student Fire Fighter's Association.  I have retired after 28 1/2 years as a fire fighter EMT-B  and  company officer of an ALS enigne for Clark County Fire District 6.  My former  fire department is on the north side of Vancouver, Washington and serves the communities fo Salmon Creek, Felida, Hazel Dell, Mt. Vista and the Fairgrounds.  We have 3 staffed stations that house 3 ALS engines and a squad and cover about 30 sq. miles serving  65,000 people.  Fire District 6 is esentially a bedroom community to the greater Vancouver/Portland metro area with some light industrial and retail support.  Our call volume is around 5000 per year of which 85% are ems based.

I am honored to be able to serve the community as a firefighter and am proud of the opportunity to pass on what I have accumulated over the years to our future fire fighters.
