Welcome to my home page.

My name is Eduardo Herrera.

My friends and family call me Tino. I am from Guatemala and I have taught for 11 years. Please feel free to review the classes below and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to e-mail me or talk to me. I would be happy to answer any questions.

I am originally from Quetzaltenango, Guatemala, where I attended Law School at the Universidad Rafael Landivar. Then, I lived in Vermont for a year. I also have a BA in Political Science from Portland State University and a Masters of Science in Education and Information Technology from Western Oregon University. Currently,  I am taking a class in Website Development from Harvard Extension School.

I taught at IPMO High School in Guatemala for four years years before moving to Vermont, and then for a year at Montessori of Alameda and taught at PCC for more than three years. I live in inner SE Portland in the Hawthorne district. I love animals.  I have a dog, Azrael.  He is a three year old Spaniel mix that I adopted from the Humane Society.  My friends and I love to bike and play the guitar.  I enjoy playing the guitar, going to the gym, cooking, and water sports.

I love music of all kinds, but progressive is my favorite.  I love my students and do whatever it takes to make sure that their learning experience is both enjoyable and productive.
