Heidi Dyer is a performer, choreographer, and teacher based in Portland, OR.  For more than a decade she has worked with independent artists throughout the U.S. and Mexico to create and perform in projects investigating the intersection of life, performance, and environment.  She holds a B.A. in Dance with a concentration in Education from Columbia College Chicago, an M.F.A. in Dance from The University of Oregon, and is a Certified Yoga Therapy Teacher registered with the Yoga Alliance at the 200-hour level.  Of special interest to her are improvisation, the creation and performance of site-based work, and interdisciplinary collaboration.  Recent projects include a site-specific performance in the Northview Gallery as part of Vicki Wilson's "Cumulus", co-creating and directing an original play for PCC Theatre entitled "Merge", and a dance on film project with director/editor Eric Nordstrom titled "Trifecta".  Dyer directs and co-produces the annual Spring Dance Concert at PCC along with Dan Hays.  Heidi has served as the Dance SAC Chair at PCC since 2009 and is the Interim Chair of Music and Dance through Fall 2013.
