Advisor Introduction

Hello!
I'm the advisor and support specialist for the Building Inspection, Interior Design, Architecture and Drafting programs. My goal is to help you have a successful experience at PCC and to graduate. I hope to develop this website as a resource for our current students.

For prospective and new students I offer small group advising sessions regularly throughout each quarter. This is the first stop for entering into our programs and being successful. I have posted the schedule in the section below.

For currently enrolled students, I can help you with:

  • Academic advising, planning your classes and degree audits.
  • Personal Skill development, such as study skills, time management, and goal setting.
  • Connecting to campus and community resources such as healthcare, childcare, tutoring, veteran’s services, etc.
  • Exploring your career options and planning.
  • Navigating college processes such as, time frame extensions, graduate petitions, transferring in credits from other schools, and probation appeals.

I'm looking forward to meeting you and helping you reach your goals!

Good Luck!

NEW & PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS!

Attend an Orientation Session

I offer prospective and new student advising sessions throughout the year for students who are interested in Architecture, Interior Design, Drafting and Building Inspection. During these sessions I go over our program, class planning, transfer options and career outlook. This is the first stop for a student who is interested in entering or transferring into our programs. The orientation advising sessions are all offered on the Sylvania campus in the ST (Science & Technology) building in office 208. No RSVP is required; students can just show up.

Fall Orientation Schedule (Please only attend one time)

Building Inspection Technology Program

October 13 – December 8, Mondays at 6:00 PM

Architectural Design and Drafting Program

October 15 - December 10, Wednesdays at 5:45 PM (exception: no session on Nov. 26)

Interior Design Program

October 15 - December 10, Wednesdays at 4:30 PM (exception: no session on Nov. 26)

Orientation sessions happen regularly throughout the year to help prepare a student to enter the program the following term.

I do not offer orientation sessions during the first month of a new quarter because I'm working with current students at that time.

If you are interested in the one-year mechanical drafting certificate at PCC please email me. We do not offer a one-year certificate in Architectural Drafting; we offer a two year degree in Architectural Design and Drafting.
