Who am I? I have been teaching English as a second language at Portland Community College since 2001. Before that, I lived in China for a year, Japan for a year, and Niger (in West Africa) for two years, and visited about twenty other countries. Now I live in Portland, Oregon with my husband, who is also a teacher, and son Liam (seen in the picture). I have a Masters degree in Comparative Literature and a Ph.D in African Languages and Literature.
