What We Do

Outside In helps homeless youth and other marginalized people move towards improved health and self-sufficiency.  Through education, employment training, housing, and healthcare services, we start youth on a path to transform their lives, supporting them and helping them build the confidence and skills they need to enact positive change in their lives and in their communities.
Opportunities for service with us

A variety of opportunities are available for students and most require a 6 month or 100 hour commitment. Outside In provides extensive training opportunities. Internships can be created out of current volunteer positions.  Openings, applications and job descriptions can be found online at http://www.outsidein.org/volunteer.htm

There is an age requirement of 21 to volunteer in all of our programs except for Virginia Woof Dog Daycare, where there is an age requirement of 18.
