- What We Do
The Shine Community School Program provides engaging after-school programming, homework help, enrichment opportunities for youth and adults, activities and support for parents and community members. We're committed to offering enriching programming through after-school academic and enrichment classes. We strive to bolster academic achievement, expose students and parents to new opportunities and cultivate an environment of encouragement.

Do you want to make a difference in the lives of the children living in our community?
If your answer is YES, then consider volunteering with the SHINE After-school and Community Program at Barnes Elementary School in Beaverton.
We are seeking volunteer teachers to teach a variety of academic and enrichment classes, including:
- Homework Club
- Soccer
- Board Games
- Legos
COMMITMENT: We need volunteer teachers who are available from 2:30-5:30, Thursdays and/or Fridays.
DATES: Our Spring Term is April 9 – June 8, 2012. The volunteer teacher application deadline is Tuesday, April 3 by 5:00pm.
