- What We Do
The Friends of Mt Tabor Park Weed Warrior Volunteer Service Project is helping to restore the natural habitat in this 200 acre Park. We invite individuals and groups to join us the last Saturday of the month, 9am-12noon from March through October, to help with invasive plant removal and replanting activities. Go to www.taborfriends.org & Weed Warriors for more information. Also see Facebook page.
- Opportunities for service with us
-
Volunteers learn more about the impact of invasive plants in the park, about the vegetation in this Doug Fir/Western Hemlock forest and the difference volunteers are making to habitat restoration in the park. Great exercise & great fun! We'd be glad to talk with students/staff/faculty about special projects beyond the Saturday service projects.
