PAW Team (Portland Animal Welfare Team)

What We Do

 Improve animal health and human welfare through education, advocacy and veterinary care for those who are homeless or in extreme poverty. A volunteer-based non-profit, PAW Team provides:

- basic veterinary care

- shots, flea/worm treatment

- free/low-cost spay/neuter

- pet food and supplies

- low-cost county licenses

- assistance in accessing social services

- support to stay in housing or find housing/shelter with companion or service animals

Opportunities for service with us

  Volunteer Services (both medical and general/non-medical volunteers needed)

Veterinarians, Vet Techs, and Assistants at monthly clinics

General volunteers for pet handling, client sign-in, pet supplies give-away, etc

Donated services from local veterinary clinics for pets in need of more urgent care

Other professional services: photography, printing/graphics, publicity, and more
