SUN Community Schools transform schools into community learning centers. They link with other community institutions, such as the libraries, parks and community centers, neighborhood health clinics and area churches and businesses.

 Assist in the planning and implementation of a class that meets once or twice per week for one-two hours. Assist with the distribution of activity supplies. Assist with basic administration such as taking attendance. Assist with the implementation of classroom management strategies that ensure safe, respectful and productive student involvement. Work one on one students experiencing difficulty completing or participating in the activity. Communicate with the Site Manager and Family and Community Engagement Coordinator regarding student behavior and facilities use.
