Neil Armstrong Middle School is a part of the Forest Grove School District which serves Cornelius, Dilley and Gales Creek as well as Forest Grove. Some challenges the district is facing is language barrier, with 60 to 70 percent of classrooms comprised of Hispanic students, and the high mobility of migrant worker families. Another issue is receiving adequate funding for a growing school district. In addressing these issues, the Forest Grove School District has remained steadfast in its commitment to provide all students with a high quality education, anchored by a strong academic base and enriched with a variety of electives.

Provide tutoring, mentoring, and leadership for 7th and 8th graders, through academic and extracurricular activities, including SMILE and AWSEM (science & math), Lego robotics, drama, art, dance, chess, sports, and games. Bi-Lingual (Spanish) volunteers welcomed. (M-F, 2:30-4:30pm)
