PCC Rock Creek Learning Garden Team

What We Do

The PCC Rock Creek Learning Garden Team is a way for students to learn how to plant, grow and harvest food in a sustainable and healthy way. During the planting season, our work usually involves weeding, planting and harvesting. No knowledge of permaculture principles or plants is required as we are all learners.

Opportunities for service with us

The PCC Rock Creek Learning Garden Team (or just Learning Garden Team) is recruiting for work party volunteers and people who want to learn more about organic gardening and permaculture principles. If you would like to be in on planning the permaculture keyhole theme beds, come and join us. No knowledge of permaculture principles or plants is required, we are all learners. The Learning Garden is for students to come and learn how to plant, grow and harvest food in a sustainable and healthy way. Come help out, be outside, have fun, grow your own healthy food and nourish the earth all at the same time! Activities involve garden clean-up, harvesting fall crops and sowing crops. The PCC RC Organic Learning Garden hours for service learning students will begin on Wednesday, May 7th from 1-5pm and will be every Wednesday after that from 1-5pm.

Hours for involvement vary with seasonality, please contact Erin Stanforth with questions.
