A year-round wonder, the Portland Classical Chinese Garden is an authentically built Ming Dynasty style garden. Covered walkways, bridges, open colonnades, pavilions and a richly planted landscape frame Zither Lake, creating views that are never twice the same. The mission is to create an oasis of tranquil beauty and harmony to inspire, engage, and educate the global community in the appreciation of a richly authentic Chinese culture..

The Garden currently has volunteer opportunities greeting visitors at admission gate and answering questions, helping to maintain the Garden pavilions, and helping in the gift store.  All of these opportunities require a minimum of a weekly 3 month commitment. The Garden is open 7 days a week.
