Directions to HEC

Parking at HEC is "FREE" on 5th & 6th levels. No permit is required.  After 5PM, 2nd level is ok.

The Hillsboro Education Center (HEC), a satellite facility of the Rock Creek Campus, opened in winter 2002 and is the result of a partnership with Washington County. The 9,000-square-foot center houses four classrooms with computer/audio/visual equipment, a 30-station computer lab, conference room, testing area, and four staff offices.

Located in downtown Hillsboro, the center is in the 1st floor of the parking garage at the end of the MAX light rail line (Hatfield Government Center Station). The Cornelius and Forest Grove Tri-Met bus connections (46, 57) are nearby.

Credit Classes are offered mornings, afternoon, evenings, and Saturdays. HEC offers a variety of university transfer courses in Arts/Letters, Social Sciences, and Math/Sciences. Professional/Technical classes include computers and graphic design. Developmental reading, writing, and math are also offered. English for Speakers of Other Language classes are offered during the Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer terms.

HEC does not offer Adult Basic Education (ABE) or GED classes.  Call the Rock Creek  ABE/GED Office at 503-614-7179 for more information.
