In the Fall, the librarians tried a new approach involving topic selection with regard to interests and values. I think if the students were better equipped with the library databases and basic research, it would have been better. However, it didn't go over well with the students. They felt somewhat confused and didn't think they got much actual research instruction.
The students are in need of basic library and research help. In a past term, the librarians focused some time to topic selection with enclyopedias and other books brought into the computer room and I seem to recall this was well received.
I am happy to collaborate with the librarians if it would help, however, other than the different format last time, I have no complaints!
