Assignment description and sample topics: We will be researching specific
"research proposals" that they have found from the previous library session.
The major assignment is writing a research grant. Students are to perform
specific research, finding a variety of support for their specific topic.
Students will be able to (check all that apply):
- Perform an efficient search of the library catalog for books and other
materials (15 minutes)
- Construct a query for journal, magazine, or newspaper articles and
evaluate best choices in the results list (25 minutes)
