Ms. Beal is asking for 55 min of instruction but i'm booking the classroom for the whole class, just in case. -- ts
Instructor name: Elaine Beal Students refer to me as: Ms. Beal Instructor e-mail: elaine.beal@pcc.edu Instructor phone: 503 636-1974 Instructor location: Cascade Preferred contact: e-mail Course subject: Writing - WR Course number: 122 Course CRN: 10864 Number of Students: 28 ADA provisions needed: no Preferred Date: 2013-02-25 Preferred Time: 11:00 am Alternate Date: 2013-02-27 Alternate Time: 12:00 am Duration: 55Minutes Do you need time to discuss non-library matters with your class on the day of library instruction? No If yes please specify: Assignment description and sample topics: Student will have completed their research proposal - so, I can send you some sample topics at that time. The assignment is attached.
I would also like to note that if you cannot reserve the library instructional classroom for me on the dates I am requesting, I do have a computer-equipped classroom. (TH204) Upload class assignment and other relevant documents: What are your learning outcomes for this session? All of the above, because students in my class seem a little underprepared for WR122, so how to conduct a basic search, a look at CQ Researcher and Opposing Viewpoints Series would be especially given their assignment. Since I am requiring some scholarly sources, advice on how to find and discriminate between these and other sources would help them learn more information literacy. An aspect of Composition and research that is important is how to narrow your topic to streamline research tasks and to learn about library resources available in general. A lot to ask I know!!
