What are your learning outcomes for this session?
The primary purpose of this mid-quarter visit is to encourage library use by
making students more comfortable with how to use it and what they'll find
there. I'm looking for Library 101, with an introduction to all the
awesomeness the library has to offer!
- Finding good books to read
- What to do in the library (study, read, study groups?, help from
- Resources available
- Critical thinking: introduction to considering a source and its
reliability, credibility, etc. I only want to introduce them to the idea of
thinking about where a text (or other) comes from and how they can decide if
it suits their purpose. We will be doing more in class with this, post-visit.
