Yes If yes please specify: 10 minutes at the beginning Assignment description and sample topics: Stephanie, Alan, and Torie all know of my Writing 115 Colony Collapse Disorder -- the bees are back! The students need to find three or four legitimate sources on CCD, and they can't use Wikipedia as a primary source. Students will be able to (check all that apply): - Develop a search strategy based on their research topics (15 minutes) - Perform an efficient search of the library catalog for books and other materials (15 minutes) - Differentiate between scholarly journals and magazines (15 minutes) - Construct a query for journal, magazine, or newspaper articles and evaluate best choices in the results list (25 minutes) Other notes: I really want them to focus on the databases more than Google search, but some time on Google is OK.
