Assignment description and sample topics: Essentially students must get a
clear and workable "know-how" on sound academic research. Particularly,
students are rquired to submit a summary of three peer-reviewed journal
articles, one of which they get to present in class...
Students will be able to (check all that apply):
- Perform an efficient search of the library catalog for books and other
materials (15 minutes)
- Differentiate between scholarly journals and magazines (15 minutes)
- Construct a query for journal, magazine, or newspaper articles and
evaluate best choices in the results list (25 minutes)
- Physically locate items and other resources (brief library tour ) (15
minutes)
