Assignment description and sample topics: Students are required to
substantiate the content of their three formal speeches by using
academically-acceptable AND peer-reviewed sources... They will bring topics
for their specail occasion, demonstration, and persuasive speeches... All
sources must be cited in their speeches.
Students will be able to (check all that apply):
- Develop a search strategy based on their research topics (15 minutes)
- Perform an efficient search of the library catalog for books and other
materials (15 minutes)
- Differentiate between scholarly journals and magazines (15 minutes)
- Construct a query for journal, magazine, or newspaper articles and
