WR 121 Wahl-Stephens *km

(60 minutes of instruction requested)
They will have read essays about mental and physical illness. I will ask them to list topics they would hypothetically research and will send that to you prior to the library session. I am guessing these would include alternative medicine, major mental illnesses, etc. Some students may choose to begin research on another essay, so again, I will ask them to list for me their topics and send those to you.

I require three articles from our databases, and use of the MLA for in text citations and Works Cited, which we will have gone over prior to your session.

What are your learning outcomes for this session? That students are more
aware of our databases and feel somewhat comfortable about exploring them for their research. That students understand terms like Peer Reviewed, printing a PDF. That they understand how to e-mail a document to themselves from the databases, how to plug in the MLA information...basic research skills.
