Sylvania Library classroom 212

This room is reserved primarily for library instruction. If you would like to collaborate with a librarian for an instruction session, please send your request and a librarian on your campus will contact you.

Please contact Carrie Peterson if you would like to reserve the library classroom for a different use which does not require a librarian. You may not reserve the room more than one week in advance unless it is for library instruction.

If you need to find a room at your campus, please use Room Scheduling.

An essay using research: on an
environmental issue, or health issue --mental, physical.
Upload class assignment and other relevant documents:
What are your learning outcomes for this session? For students to learn about
key word searches; how to narrow a topic, shaping research in relation to
what they locate and how their interests develop as they search and read; how
to find academic journal articles and reputable, informational,
non-commercial websites.
Other notes: I prefer that the library instructor explain only a few research
strategies, as noted above; and pace her/his remarks so students work
independently after a step has been explained; then the instruction
continues, after stopping to let students do some of the work.
