No If yes please specify: Assignment description and sample topics: Students are developing information / materials to write their first 4-6 page academic essay for WR122. They are each developing a concern of their own. They need to learn to function in the library -- where things are, the nature of various data bases, how to check things out, how to navigate the electronic system. Students will be able to (check all that apply): - Develop a search strategy based on their research topics (15 minutes) - Perform an efficient search of the library catalog for books and other materials (15 minutes) - Differentiate between scholarly journals and magazines (15 minutes) - Physically locate items and other resources (brief library tour ) (15 minutes) - Other (please explain below) (15 minutes) Other notes: Construct a query for books and journals and evaluate best choices in the results list.
