Mark your calendar for “Mahrajan,” the largest celebration of Arab heritage and culture in Oregon, when it comes to the Sylvania Campus of PCC on Sunday, Aug. 11!
Now in its fourth year, the event is hosted by the Arab American Cultural Center of Oregon (www.araboregon.org) and sponsored by PCC Sylvania and Oregon Health & Science University. Mahrajan is a day to celebrate Arab culture, filled with music, poetry, dance, delicious Arab cuisine, a fashion show, arts and crafts . . . and we hope you can participate in the festivities!
The festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center Lobby and Courtyard. Open to the public and alcohol-free and tobacco-free; complimentary parking will be available in lots #9 and #11.
Entrance donation of $5 includes three raffle tickets; individual raffle tickets are available for purchase on site for $2 each.
