Movie screening @ RC "The Immortal Head"

Event Description: There will be a special screening of Mark Andres’ prize-winning film, The Immortal Head, on Wednesday, June 5th, from 2:30 – 4:30PM, in the Forum (auditorium) in Building #3, on the PCC Rock Creek campus. Mark Andres is a distinguished member of the faculty here at PCC Rock Creek, where he teaches Painting and Drawing in the Art Department. Mark’s feature length animated film was recently awarded the first place prize; Winner – Best Animated Film 2013, by the Independent Filmmakers Showcase, based in Los Angeles, California. Doors for the screening will open at 2:15 PM, and we plan on starting promptly at 2:30 PM, so there will be time for a question and answer session with the film’s writer, producer, artist, and director, Mark Andres, at the conclusion of the movie.

The Immortal Head is a silent film told entirely in drawings, music and intertitles. Set in Weimar Germany, the film is a love story about a young doctor, Max Lenz, and a Jewish art student, Veronka Belmer, during the rise of the Nazis.
