Assignment description and sample topics: Students will choose a research
topic to explore throughout the term (they need to be "married" to this
topic/theme by the beginning of week 2), and to begin exploration of this
topic, students will be asked to write an evaluative argument on a specific
article, film, or song related to self-chosen topic. I will send sample
topics once students have chosen them, along with assignment sheet.
