Yes If yes please specify: Non-library topics will be discussed before/after the presentation. Assignment description and sample topics: This is a business communication course, with a capstone research/presentation project. Most students will have had minimal experience with the library staff resources, how to conduct a database search etc. A brief overview of the library resources, staff roles and assistance scope and how to conduct searches and navigate the most common databases would be wonderful.

What are your learning outcomes for this session? Basic understanding of library location, hours, physical layout, staff resources, how to navigate databases, remote access etc, general research/query tips. Other notes: I had a similar presentation delivered by library staff during Winter 2011 for this same course and it was very well received by the students.
