Assignment description and sample topics: Students, 23 of them, are embarking on a long
research project of 12-15 pages. Topics vary from informative to
argumentative in nature, but often are deeper investigations into their
discipline of focus. The course is constructed to give them experience in
writing a longer research paper. An orientation on available and relevant
databases, citation engines and proper citation format, proper and truncated
search methods, some of the best resources available in Sylvania library and
their locations, and other research-related topics would be excellent.
Upload class assignment and other relevant documents:

What are your learning outcomes for this session? All of the above are
terrific. I've listed more in the sample topics section and am open to
librarian's outcomes and specialties as well.
Other notes: The students and I thank you for doing this! I will have to
submit the actual assignment prompt later, as I don't have it available at
this computer.
