Zumba Workshop

Event Campus: RC Dance Room (2/259)

Event Details: Do you want to have fun and burn off all that Halloween candy? Come join your Rock Creek Campus colleagues in a 50 minute Zumba fitness movement session! Don’t know what Zumba is? Zumba Fitness is a Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness-party. Since its inception in 2001, the Zumba program has grown to become the world’s largest dance-fitness program with more than 12 million people of all shapes, sizes and ages taking weekly classes in over 110,000 locations across more than 125 countries.
Charlene is a licensed Zumba Fitness Instructor (active member of Zumba Instructor Network – ZIN). She has earned a Certificate in Dance as well as a Masters Degree in Adult Education: Policy, Foundations and Administration, both from Portland State University. For over a decade, Charlene has been part-time faculty at PCC teaching college transfer level jazz dance courses, College Survival and Success courses as well as non-credit jazz dance, integrated aerobic dance/kickboxing, and Zumba classes.
Note: Wear comfortable clothes you can move in; layers are recommended as you will get warm during class. NO STREET SHOES can be worn on the dance floor, so bring a pair of shoes with you to change into before we dance. Bring a water bottle.
