No If yes please specify: Assignment description and sample topics: Upload class assignment and other relevant documents: What are your learning outcomes for this session? The primary purpose of this mid-quarter visit is to encourage library use by making students more comfortable with how to use it and what they'll find there. I'm looking for Library 101, with an introduction to all the awesomeness the library has to offer! Objectives: - Finding good books to read - What to do in the library (study, read, study groups?, help from librarians...) - Resources available - Critical thinking: introduction to considering a source and its reliability, credibility, etc. I only want to introduce them to the idea of thinking about where a text (or other) comes from and how they can decide if it suits their purpose. We will be doing more in class with this, post-visit. - Love the library!
I am open to suggestions from librarians for our visit too!

What are your learning outcomes for this session? Since the students topics will be varied and may not require the type of research tasks usual for a more academically oriented topic, using google and google scholar, government web sites trade publications and consumer reports and organizational websites could be stressed. Also, judging the value and credibility of websites and their domains should be emphasized. Items 1, 2, & 5 on your learning outcome list would also be helpful. Other notes: Would like to reserve the instructional room until 3:00 for preliminary research session.
