Motorcycle Rider Classes

PCC motorcycle courses are offered in cooperation with Team Oregon, a nationally recognized leader in motorcycle rider safety and skills training. Team Oregon offers something for riders of every level, ability and experience that will help you ride safer, smarter and more skillfully. Cancellation/Drop Policy: To receive a refund, students must formally drop their class at least EIGHT DAYS prior to the class start date. To drop a class call registration at 503-977-4933.

Basic Motorcycle Rider Training (BRT)

Great beginning course for new riders and the required training for those under 21. It begins with the basics, such as turning, shifting and braking, then moves on to more advanced street riding skills and emergency maneuvers. Lightweight motorcycles and helmets provided. Requirements: Current drivers permit or license and ability to sustain moderate physical activity.

Intermediate Motorcycle Rider Training (IRT)

Riders returning to motorcycling or those with some experience on their own motorcycles are encouraged to enroll in this eight-hour course. This program builds on fundamental riding skills and emphasizes essential street-riding skills and strategies. Requirements: 21 or older and current drivers license. You may bring your own insured motorcycle/scooter and helmet, or use one of Team

Oregon's.

Experienced Rider Skills Practice (RSP)

This 4 1/2-hour course is for riders with at least one year or 3,000 miles of experience. It is the perfect place to sharpen your cornering, braking and emergency maneuvering skills. Spend just one day with a professional riding coach and discover how much fun motorcycling can be! Must bring your own insured motorcycle, helmet and current motorcycle endorsed drivers license.

Driver Education

ODOT APPROVED COURSE: Course includes 30 classroom hours, plus six hours behind-the-wheel and six hours of in-car observation. The behind the wheel is scheduled outside classroom days and hours and might extend past the last day of class. Student must have a valid Oregon Driver's Permit at time of registration. Student attendance is mandatory for all class sessions. There is a mandatory parent/teen orientation for all Driver Education classes. Please ask the driving company at the time of registration for dates and times. PCC does not register Driver Education students.
