Introduces and develops knowledge and skills in the areas of hemoglobin, hematocrit, blood cell counts and blood cell morphology. Presents abnormalities, anomalies, and conditions affecting red cell blood cells and white blood cells. Introduces principles of automated instrumentation and application of flow cytometry to hematology are also presented. Acceptance into the second year of the MLT Program required.
