Learn fundamental techniques behind pattern drafting and develop your skills with the guidance of a professional patternmaker. Course includes basic introduction and skill building using various methods to change your pattern into other styles. 

Recommended reading: Patternmaking for Fashion Design, Fifth Edition; by Helen Joseph Armstrong. This course is a great building block for those who are seeking more knowledge in developing their own patterns for work and/or pleasure. Using the pivot/transfer and slash/spread methods you will learn how to change your pattern (sloper) into various other styles. Some sewing experience required for optional final project.
