Drawing can be a way of asking questions. We will explore the physical process of making marks with ordinary materials, and some extraordinary ones too, such as handmade sumi ink and paintable clear film. All levels welcome.
Generate ideas that will in turn generate form. We will explore the physical processes of drawing through a variety of mark-making techniques designed to test the body of the artist and the surface on which we work. We will also explore drawing techniques such as Asian brush drawing and surface layering.
