Covers history of American Indians in what is now the United States from pre-Columbian times to the present, exploring the cultural diversity among Native peoples, tribal sovereignty, conflicts and accommodations with European Americans, historical roots of contemporary Native American issues and an increased level of awareness of the cultural heritage of the United States. Prerequisite: WR 115, RD 115 and MTH 20 or equivalent placement test scores. Audit available.  (For detailed information, see the Course Content and Outcome Guide ).
