Welcome to the course information page for English 213! I am looking forward to exploring Latin American literature with all of you. You can expect to write about the literature we are reading, exploring themes through weekly discussions, and taking short reading comprehension quizzes.
Course Specific Requirements:
For this class, you'll need to purchase the anthology Latino Boom and the novels Bless Me, Ultima by Rudolfo Anaya and The Brief, Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Diaz. These books will be available in the Rock Creek campus bookstore (but probably are cheaper used off of Amazon or other online book sellers). YOU MUST HAVE YOUR ANTHOLOGY BY THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS.
