The course reinforces these concepts in both oral and written contexts. This elective class does not replace courses in the core curriculum. Course assignments include reading content posted online, watching a variety of videos, doing practice exercises online, participating in online discussions with classmates, submitting written and oral (audio) assignments, and taking quizzes and a final exam.
Course Specific Requirements:
No textbook is required for this course. Prerequisites: Placement in ESOL 160, ESOL 162, and ESOL 164 or higher; or successful completion of ESOL 150, ESOL 152 and ESOL 154. Audit available. You will need basic computer literacy, including the ability to send and receive emails with attachments; follow and save hyperlinks on a web page; create and save documents in a word processor; and create and share audio files.
