September 1 - 14, 2015. Discover Pula and its Roman past. Visit Rovinj and Porec, and their Venetian palaces. Explore the world's smallest town of Hum in the heart of Istria. Discover the area's impressive Roman past and architecture, including one of the Romans largest amphitheaters and the summer retreats for Roman Caesars and the Hapsburg monarchs. Enjoy breathtaking views of Plitvice Lake, a stunning example of a UNESCO World Heritage (UWH) site and enjoy the beautiful islands of Brijuni, and Kornati. Visit Split; its dramatic coastal mountains act as the perfect backdrop to the turquoise waters of the Adriatic. Step inside Diocletian's Palace, a UWH site and one of the world's most impressive Roman monuments. Dubrovnik is a stunning medieval city, that once rivaled Venice for power. It has been a UWH site since 1979. The city feels like one big museum with the dramatic and extensive medieval old town, fortified with a two kilometer long heavily wall.
