PHL299D Philosophy of Democracy
Explores the variety of philosophical theories which define democratic politics from an historical perspective, along with the significant criticisms that arise for each of these theories. Examines the implications that democratic philosophy has on the institutions that shape our political lives. Provides the foundation for thinking critically about future democratic reformations and civic participation potentials not currently achieved in contemporary political practices.
