CJA210 Arrest, Search & Seizure
Covers issues and procedures regarding stops, frisks, searches and seizures. The Fourth Amendment of the United States Constitution and Article 1, Section 9 of the Oregon State Constitution are discussed. Topics include stops, arrests, privacy issues, search warrants and warrantless searches and seizures. Case law, current events and statutory law from the Criminal Code of Oregon are reviewed. Prerequisites: CJA 100, CJA 111 and WR 121 or instructor permission. Audit available. (For detailed information, see the Course Content and Outcome Guide ).
