This AHA course addresses the core knowledge necessary to evaluate and manage an adult victim of a cardiovascular emergency or cardiac arrest. The course teaches patient assessment, airway management, and electrical and drug therapy. Basic ECG interpretation skills are required for this course. Online pretest included w/text. Required text: ACLS Provider Manual (c 2011) and optional, but highly recommended, AHA Handbook of Emergency Cardiac Care, available at PCC Sylvania Campus bookstore, 971-722-4910. (Optional BLS Renewal follows course). Employees of area hospitals DO NOT use the following course numbers, please contact your Education Department for eligible payment of your tuition by your employer.
