9FD610H Whole Grain Indian Flatbreads: Naan and Roti
Freshly made bread is a staple of the Indian diet. Come learn to make tender naans and rotis using your home oven and stovetop. We'll use whole wheat and gluten-free buckwheat flours. Homemade bread is satisfying, economical and healthy.
Roti, an unleavened bread, is cooked on the stovetop, while naan bread is baked in a communal "Tandoor" (clay oven). We will also make parathas, which are rotis that are stuffed with vegetables or lentils. We'll use whole wheat flour and make a gluten-free version with buckwheat flour.
