PE183A Hiking

Campus Contacts

Explores the basics of hiking in the Pacific Northwest. Addresses decision making skills, trip planning, first aid, safety, navigation and environmental concerns ("Leave No Trace" principles & practices). Includes required day hiking trips in order to apply learned skills in a real-time environment. Course may be taken 3 times for credit. Some experience and above average fitness recommended, but not required. Audit available.  (For detailed information, see the Course Content and Outcome Guide ).
